MAKING A TABLE BOOKING
We are a small venue, and tables go quickly, so we recommend booking - especially at weekends! We are open as shop only for the first hour every day, but tables can be booked anytime from 1pm onwards.
All of our table bookings are made on a deposit basis of £5 per head, which can either be refunded upon arrival, or deducted from the bill at the end of your visit. We use an old-fashioned physical diary and BOOKINGS CANNOT BE CONFIRMED BY EMAIL OR DIRECT MESSSAGE - YOU NEED TO PHONE OR VISIT DURING OPENING HOURS to check availability and pay your deposit.
Tables are held for 20 minutes only and if late, you will need to wait on the next available table. If you do not attend your booking or cancel less than two hours before your booking time, your deposit will no longer be refundable.
For groups of six people or more, a discretionary service charge of 10% will be applied to your bill at the end of your visit. And for peace of mind, all tips go to the staff working on the day - there's no funny business here!
Unfortunately, we cannot offer bookings on our terrace seating, as even the summer weather is too unpredictable in Glasgow. For those precious seats, it's first-come first-served, the early bird gets the worm, and fortune favours the bold!

BOOKING A PRIVATE PARTY
We offer private room hire in our classy Snug Bar!
The space seats 16-24 people, and our famous cheese & charcuterie platters are available (we serve them buffet-style for parties). If you are dining, we don't charge room hire fees, all we just ask that you make any food orders and (at least) an initial round of drinks in advance.
We're very flexible on how you want your event to go. We host things ranging from meet-ups, to book launches, to surprise parties, and will do whatever we can to accommodate your plans. You can play your own tunes (as long as you aren't louder than the music in the shop bar), however because it is such a small space, there can be no dancing, sorry!
If your group is not dining, or fewer than the minimum number of people arrive, room hire fees will be applied on the day - so please be sure to plan ahead!
To book, all we need is a £5 per head deposit, and the rest can be settled on the day. For Snug Bar bookings we do require 24 hours notice of any cancellation, so please factor that into your plans. On the day, there is also a discretionary 10% service charge on the room bill, mostly to save folk worrying about calculating and splitting tips.
If you aren't familiar with the space, feel free to come by to see it during opening hours, bearing in mind it will most likely be occupied on weekend evenings.

BOOKING A PRIVATE TASTING EVENT
We can accommodate small and large groups for tasting sessions of different kinds.
If you were booking as a larger group seeking a hosted tasting, we have a minimum attendance of 8, but our Snug Bar can fit up to 14 for tastings.
Your tasting can include whatever you want it to (within our capabilities, of course), but our standard 'go-to' is the Cheese & Wine pairing session. That consists of a two-hour hosted session with five wines paired to five cheeses. However if that doesn't suit, you can largely dictate your own tasting and budget, just let us know.
If there are fewer than 8 of you, we can also offer a more informal tasting session with a table booking of any size, based on the wines we have open at the time. Do note that we cannot guarantee these if it coincides with other booked events, or during peak hours such as 5pm onwards on Fridays & Saturdays. Pricing for this varies, but is dictated by what is consumed on the day, and a 10% service charge on top of that.
To book, all we need is a £5 per head deposit, and the rest can be settled on the day.
For Snug Bar bookings we do require 24 hours notice of any cancellation, so please factor that into your plans, and a discretionary 10% service charge will be applied to the bill, mostly to save folk worrying about calculating and splitting tips.
